Black Varsity Association

The Black Varsity Association (BVA) is a student-led initiative dedicated to ensuring the well-being and success of all Black student-athletes at McGill University through event planning, community engagement, and the development of diverse programs and opportunities.

We work to ensure that the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion are upheld at McGill University, and hold the McGill Athletics Department accountable by supporting the recommendations made by the McGill Athletics Anti-Black Racism Committee (MAABRC).

Though we are a central point of contact for Black student-athletes, we strongly encourage all interested students, regardless of race or varsity status, to participate in our events!

The Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) is the national voice of Canadian nursing students. Our goal is to increase the legal, ethical, professional, and educational aspects which are an integral part of nursing. CNSA is actively dedicated to the positive promotion of nurses and the nursing profession as a whole.

The Club de débat francophone is McGill’s francophone debate club. Our mission is to bring together French-speaking students through the art form of debating. ConnectUs McGill Students

ConnectUs McGill Students provides consulting services to under-resourced organizations seeking support. Our mission is to connect our team of McGill undergraduate students with local small businesses and nonprofits to help address their organizational challenges. By partnering with ConnectUs McGill Students, organizations are exposed to new and diverse perspectives, including suggestions on solutions to help solve ongoing issues and navigate their evolving operating environment.

Enactus McGill

Enactus McGill is a group of talented and motivated students from McGill University striving to make a difference in the Montreal community through entrepreneurial action. They strive to create a long-term impact on the communities and businesses that they are involved with. Whether it be by providing education to Syrian refugees, empowering young students to become entrepreneurs, or decreasing the food insecurity in Montreal, their projects reach a diverse community both locally and nationally. Their ultimate vision is to enact positive change through social entrepreneurship. Global China Connection (GCC)

Global China Connection (GCC) is a student-run non-profit organization that helps develop deep and trusting personal relationships between young leaders. GCC network currently consists of more than 60 university chapters around the world, and GCC McGill is one of the leading chapters in Canada. GCC McGill is committed to building a multicultural and interacting community by organizing a variety of activities including delegations of university students, social and professional events, panels, and more. If you want to develop your leadership skills and get to know fellow students, this is the club to join.

Health Occupation Students of America McGill (HOSA)

HOSA McGill provides an educational and interactive learning experience for students that are interested in health care professions. We help to provide students with the means to attend a Spring-Leadership Conference in Toronto as well as an International Conference (if student qualifies). The conference allows students to get hands-on experience in the profession they are interested in such as dentistry, laboratory science, forensic medicine, and more.

Junior Hong Kong Business Association

The Junior Hong Kong Canada Business Association (JHKCBA) is a student association in Canada that promotes the business collaboration between Canada and Hong Kong and fosters leadership and business skills among students. We are the junior chapter of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA), one of the largest bilateral trade associations in Canada.

Lettuce Club

At Lettuce Club McGill, all members meet once a year and will have 10 minutes to eat an entire head of lettuce. Whoever eats the lettuce the fastest is dubbed the Head of Lettuce and organizes the meeting the following year.

McGill Biomechanics Club

McGill Biomechanics Club innovates medical solutions that help others, by building skills and knowledge through practical experience in biomechanical projects, workshops and events. By combining both practical and social experiences, we aim to teach people more about biomechanics while also helping them to build a social and professional network.

The McGill International Student Network is an orgaMcto Montreal and McGill! The McGill Student Entrepreneurship Society is a student-run group dedicated to promoting and celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit in McGill, Montreal, and beyond, through innovative student events and initiatives. Who we are:
A Chapter of the National Scientista Foundation (currently the largest network of campus women across STEM disciplines). Our all-female team is made up entirely of McGill University students studying various fields in science.

McGill Students Graduate Management Consulting Association (GMCA)

In the past, entering the competitive world of management consulting had been the exclusive privilege of business school graduates. However consulting firms have recently started recruiting Ph.D.s in order to increase their depth of expertise in various specialized industries. In the face of dwindling employment prospects in both academia and industry, management consulting offers an exciting career opportunity for graduate students who wish to apply their analytical and critical thinking skills to achieve a real-world impact. With this in mind, we created the McGill Graduate Management Consulting Association (McGill GMCA). Our goal is to provide exceptional graduate students and post-doctoral trainees with the training and resources necessary to enter and to excel in the competitive world of management consulting. Throughout the year, we will offer a number of events, including consulting firm information sessions, educational training sessions, case workshops led by consultants from Montreal’s top firms, networking opportunities, as well as various opportunities to test and improve your skills in case competitions!

The McGill Students’ Actuarial Association is a nascent SSMU student club looking to boost support for aspiring actuaries at McGill. McHacks – Hacks at Students’ Society of McGill University

HackMcGill is the student-run group that organizes the premier annual hackathon, McHacks. We bring together a diverse group of over 500 students from across North America for 24 hours to build projects and applications that range from hardware to mobile to artificial intelligence.

As a group, we are a talented team that loves working with people from various backgrounds. The Socratic Discussion Club brings together McGill students who are interested in meeting people to discuss ideas, gain knowledge, and take part in thought-provoking events. We are the first and only student organization at McGill University that seeks to bring people of diverse views together to share ideas on various topics, ranging from philosophy to politics to economics and others. Student Research Initiative (SRI)

Student Research Initiative is a club at McGill with the goal of helping undergraduates get involved in research. Through our informative seminars, our networking events, our mentorship program, our research database, and our annual research award, we aim to lower the barrier into undergraduate, providing McGill students with the necessary resources to support their research endeavours.

Students Offering Support (SOS)

Students Offering Support (SOS) is a national student-led charity made up of a network of student volunteers working through university chapters to coordinate and teach Exam-AID’s (group review sessions prior to midterms/finals for first and second year courses). SOS charges a $20 donation for students to attend our sessions and at the end of each year, all the money raised by an SOS chapter is spent on an educational sustainable development project in a Latin American country. These projects are not only funded by SOS, but they are also planned and built by SOS volunteers through an annual outreach trip. This full-circle experience provides volunteers an experience to see the direct impact they can have on their community as well as in marginalized communities around the world.
