Subjects will read words from a screen and their speech and jaw motions will be recorded. During some part of experiment, subject’s speech area of brain will be stimulated via TMS, a non invasive and safe technique to record brain activity and lip’s muscle activity will be recorded via surface electrodes. You shouldn’t have family history of seizures or on psycho-pharmacological medication.
If you are interested please send an email to our lab (mcl.mcgill@gmail.com) with the title of study in your subject line. Experiment will be done over two days and if you finish the experiment you will be compensated $50. On the first day if we couldn’t record from your lips muscles we have to terminate the experiment in which case you will be given $20.
