Research Participants Needed! We are seeking undergraduates for a research study on climate change. There are two parts to this study. The first component involves completing a few questionnaires, reading short texts on climate change, verbalizing thoughts as they naturally occur (which will be audio-recorded), writing a short essay about climate change, and participating in a brief interview (which will also be audio-recorded). Participants must be at least 18 years old and must be proficient at reading and writing in English. The first component will take approximately 90 minutes and participants will be compensated $20 for their time. For those who also wish to participate in the second component, you will complete a short survey about the activities you engaged in to combat climate change over a two-week period (one for each week). This component will take only 5 minutes per week to complete the short survey. At the end of the two weeks, participants will return to the Muis Lab to participate in another short interview (approximately 20 minutes). Participants who agree to participate in the second component will be entered into a draw to win $250. Chances of winning are 1 in 100. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please email the Muis Lab at muislab.education@mcgill.ca. This study is supervised by Dr. Krista Muis, Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology.
