SSMU Events
We like to keep things simple and aim to provide you with the tools and assistance necessary to plan a smooth and unforgettable event. Whether it be a large scale celebration or a simple meeting, we are proud to offer various services and amenities that suit your needs!
SSMU-Coordinated Events
When you plan a SSMU-Coordinated Event, you receive the full support of our Operations Coordinator, from planning
to execution of the event.
Following your initial consultation, the SSMU Operations team will coordinate your event from top to bottom, booking
your space, organizing your catering and alcohol service, and promoting your event, among other tasks. On the
day of your event, a member of the Operations Team will also be on site, managing your event.
When you plan a Self-Coordinated Event, you coordinate and manage all aspects of your event with the logistical support
of the Operations Coordinator.
The steps for planning a Self-Coordinated Event vary depending on your relationship to SSMU and the McGill Community. Please select one of the following to start creating your event:
I am Part of a SSMU Club, recognized ISG or Service
I am an External Client or part of the McGill Community

Use SSMU EMS to make your request All bookings for SSMU-affiliated groups are coordinated through SSMU EMS. You will be asked if you would like to request catering, alcohol service, additional furniture, and all other services while booking through your online portal.
You must log in before submitting your request, or your booking will not be processed.
If you are missing your log in credentials, please contact the Events Administrator for assistance.
You will be contacted by the Operations Coordinator approximately 1 week prior to the requested date. Please contact the Operations Coordinator if your event has not be confirmed 48 hours prior to the requested date.

Book your event All bookings for McGill-Affiliated groups and Externals are coordinated through the Events Booking Form. You will be asked if you would like to request catering, alcohol service, additional furniture, and all other services while making your request.
Promote your event Discover a large range promotional packages to help promote your event on campus! We offer various customization bundles that will suit your needs. Whether it be showcasing your event on the SSMU website or creating attractive social media content, we have you covered! For all Advertising and Marketing inquiries, please contact the Events Administrator or be sure to select it as an option when filling out the Events Booking Form.
