Strategic Summit on Equity and Diversity

Do you have concerns about equity on campus? Have you observed or experienced issues such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism at McGill? Do you want help SSMU do something about it?

COME TO THE STRATEGIC SUMMIT ON EQUITY AND DIVERSITY!

***

Come share your perspectives, hear from your peers, and identify the key issues that the McGill undergrad community faces when it comes to managing and celebrating diversity. McGill students and staff represent an enormous variety of backgrounds, creeds, and socioeconomic classes – now is the time to make plans for a campus that is welcoming to all.

Together, we will discuss current and pressing issues and events regarding diversity, including religious tolerance, racial profiling, definitions of political correctness and freedom of speech, and recent incidents of ‘blackface’ in Montreal. Anything you want to add the agenda will also be included! (Given that it’s equity/diverstiy-related.)

NOTE: You are welcome to come for only part of the session, which will be broken down into several shorter segments.
