The 2019 Journalism and Media Conference brings journalists, photographers, and other media professionals to McGill for three nights of lectures, panels, and interactive workshops. Hosted by the Tribune Publication Society, this fifth annual edition offers interested student the opportunity to learn about the industry and its future, meet and network with professionals, and engage in conversations about journalism and media. Panels will range in topic, covering everything from the art of satirical writing (as told by Emma Overton, author at the Beaverton) to “How to get work in journalism”. This year’s keynote speaker is Philip Crawley, CEO and Publisher of the Globe and Mail. The event will take place Feb 19-21 at the Thomson House. Entry is free and refreshments will be provided.
