Question 1
Renewal of the WUSC Student Refugee Program Fee
Do you agree to renew the non-opt-outable WUSC McGill Student Refugee Program fee of $4.00 per semester, payable by all SSMU members, starting Fall 2026 until Winter 2031 (inclusive), for the purpose of maintaining the number of sponsored refugee students at 6 students a year?
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in the suspension of the student refugee program and the inability for WUSC McGill to sponsor refugee students in the future.
Question 2
Increase of the WUSC Student Refugee Program Fee
Contingent on its renewal, do you agree to the increase of the non-opt-outable WUSC McGill Student Refugee Program fee by $2.00 (from $4.00 to $6.00 per semester), payable by all SSMU members, starting Fall 2026 until Winter 2031 (inclusive), for the purpose of sponsoring 10 refugee students a year (up from 6 annually under the current fee) to come study at McGill?
A majority ‘no’ vote on the fee increase will result in WUSC only being able to sponsor 6 students each year.
Question 3
Increase of the SSMU ECOLE Project Fee
Do you agree to the increase of the opt-outable SSMU ECOLE Project Fee from $2.00 to $4.00 per semester, payable by all SSMU members, beginning in Fall 2026 until Winter 2028 (inclusive), at which point it will be brought back to the Membership for renewal?
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in decreased services and student support.
Question 4
Renewal of the McGill Writing Centre Ancillary Fee
Do you agree to the renewal of the non-opt-outable ‘McGill Writing Centre Ancillary Fee’ of $1.50 per semester, payable by all SSMU Members, starting Fall 2026 and ending Winter 2031 (inclusive), at which point it will be brought back to the Membership for renewal?
A majority ‘no’ vote shall result in the discontinued access of undergraduate students to the Tutorial Service.
Question 5
Increase of the McGill Student Services Ancillary Fee
In addition to the Ministry indexation factor, do you agree to increase the non-opt-outable Student Services Ancillary Fee by 4% in each of the next three academic years (2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029), payable by all SSMU members?
For example, in Fall 2026, 4% will amount to an increase of $8.19 for full-time students and $4.92 for part-time students.
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in a reduction of services and programs including higher wait times to access mental health clinicians, nurses and other service specialists, no online appointment booking system for physical and mental health appointments, and fewer student job opportunities in McGill Student Services.
Question 6
Renewal of the University Centre Fee
Do you agree to the renewal of the non-opt-outable SSMU University Centre Fee of $11.12 per full-time SSMU Member and $5.56 per part-time SSMU Member with a 5.6% indexation factor from Fall 2026 until Winter 2031 (inclusive), at which time it will be brought back to the Membership for renewal?
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in both the termination of the fee and the Society’s ability to support student spaces
Question 7
Renewal of the Anti-Violence Fee
Do you agree to the renewal of the opt-outable Anti-Violence Fee of $0.45 per semester, payable by all SSMU members, starting in Fall 2026 until Winter 2031 (inclusive) at which point it will be brought back to the Membership for renewal?
A majority ‘no’ vote would result in the discontinuation of the fee and the loss of funding for the administration of the SSMU’s anti-violence mandates, including the Gendered and Sexual Violence Policy?
Question 8
Increase and Renaming of the SSMU Grocery Program Fee
Do you agree to increase the opt-outable SSMU Grocery Program Fee (to become the SSMU Food Bank Fee) from $1.00 to $2.00 per semester, payable by all SSMU members, beginning in Fall 2026 and ending in Winter 2028 (inclusive) to support the operation of the SSMU Food Bank, at which point it will be brought back to the Membership for renewal?
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in no change to the existing SSMU Grocery Program Fee, its amount, or its permitted use.
Question 9
Renewal of the SSMU Daycare Fee
Do you agree to the renewal of the non-opt-outable SSMU Daycare Fee at a rate of $3.00 per semester, payable by all SSMU members, starting in Fall 2026 until Winter 2031 (inclusive)?
A majority ‘no’ vote will result in the SSMU Daycare having to discontinue its operations

Ratification of the Board of Directors Members-At-Large
Do you approve of ratifying the current four (4) Members-at-Large to the Board of Directors?
