Through the Junior Peacemakers program, pairs of volunteers lead an interactive curriculum in Grade 6 classrooms in the Montreal area which covers global issues including poverty, human rights, inequality, hunger, conflict resolution, and child activism.
The time commitment involves only four one-hour sessions per semester If you are interested, sign up at http://www.irsam.ca/JrPeacemakers.html and come to two training sessions on Thursday, January 21 and Thursday, January 28 at 5:30 in the Clubs lounge on the 4th floor of the SSMU building.
