Dear students,
On Thursday, January 26, 2012, the Students’ Society of McGill University’s (SSMU) Board of Directors passed a Resolution by 10 votes in favour, 6 votes against, and 1 abstention. I can also tell you that the Resolution passed by the Legislative Council with 13 votes in favour, 6 against, and 4 abstentions. Therefore, the Judicial Board Hearing that was to take place on January 30, 2012 has been cancelled.
In recognition of this Resolution, the ad-hoc by-law review committee will be assessing the specific by-laws regarding the Judicial Board. Members of the SSMU are welcome to participate. For more information, please contact President Knight at president@ssmu.mcgill.ca.
