This semester’s classes will soon be finished and the time is coming to fill out your course evaluations. If you are new to evaluations or you have questions, please read the following points:
- Course evaluations are the primary and most important form of student input about teaching performance considered in decisions about merit and promotion.
- It is short and no questionnaire is longer than 25 items, and students may choose to answer only those questions they wish—it really is quick to provide your feedback.
- Teaching Assistants (TAs) evaluations help both TAs and faculty develop the teaching skills of the people playing this important role.
- The course evaluation system will be available 24/7 from Nov. 11 to Dec 4, 2013 (regular period) and until Dec 18, 2013 (extended period). To see the list of units participating in the extended period, please go to http://www.mcgill.ca/tls/teaching/course-evaluations/resources/period.
