The SSMU Pilot Grocery Program is back for Round 2!
The SSMU Grocery Program is an initiative made in an effort to address food insecurity. It is a free program that the SSMU is offering to our members who are facing financial constraints and rising food costs due to inflation. The program will be facilitated by the SSMU from our University Centre on rue McTavish, directly on campus, and will be open to any of our members who need to purchase groceries whether last-minute items or cooking basics.
You’ll have your choice of vouchers to various grocery stores around the city, and a variety of food items.
Registration will close April 7th, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Please register here.
Pick up will take place on April 18th and April 19th between the times of 1 pm and 4:30 pm. Please remember to bring your SSMU Grocery Program tote bag, (or any other reusable tote) to bring home your food items.
If you would like to volunteer, please fill our our volunteer form here.
This program has now become a permanent program of the SSMU as voted by you during the referendum! Thank you for your support and feedback.
