    (first month of paid training is in May 2024)

Want to join the SSMU?

Here’s what to do!

  1. Email the current Executive for the position that interests you.
  2. Put “Executive Nomination” in the subject line!
  3. Write why you are interested and what you can bring to the role
    (NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)
  4. Complete the Nomination Kit in English or French and meet with the current exec.
  5. Campaign during the Winter Referendum (March 11th – March 22nd)
  6. Get elected, and join the team in the spring!

 

About the SSMU

  • We are the Students’ Society of McGill University, representing over 23,000 undergraduate McGill students.
  • The Executives are elected students for a 1-year paid contract to represent students’ needs and lobby for students’ rights within McGill community.
  • Unique leadership opportunity to run a not-for-profit organization and learn valuable skills.
  • Salary is $37,500 per year.
