Directions to the University Centre

Take Sherbrooke Street until McTavish Street. The University Centre (3480 McTavish Street) and the Brown Building (3600 McTavish Street) are situated on the left side of the street, just before the road bends to the right at the foot of the staircase leading to Dr. Penfield Street. Please note McTavish street is pedestrian only.

Directions to the SSMU Office

Our offices are located on the main floor of the University Centre at the end of the corridor linking both the Brown Building and the University Centre.

If you enter the University Centre via the main doors, turn right and go down the hall. We are located on the left, just before you reach the double doors.

If you enter via the Brown Building, descend the stairs to the left of the elevator. Pass through the double doors and the SSMU office is the first door on the right.

McTavish Street Deliveries

McTavish Street (between Sherbrooke and Dr. Penfeild) will now be a one-way street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All delivery and pick-up vehicles entering McTavish Street must exit via Dr. Penfield Street via upper McTavish gates.

Vehicles will be asked to wait at the intercom until the bollards fully descend before entering McTavish Street. After 5 p.m., vehicles will be permitted to turn around on McTavish to exit the same way they entered.

Rights and Restrictions

• The building doors close 15 minutes prior to SSMU’s closing hours as part of our closing procedure.
• Outside alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted in the building at any time.
• Opening and closing times may change without notice.
• Please note that the SSMU reserves the right to restrain access to the building during the above dates and events.
• Please note that no booking should be submitted during these dates.
