Spiritual responses to the mental health crisis: Reclaiming traditions and community

Spiritual responses to the mental health crisis: Reclaiming traditions and community

About the event

For many people, spirituality offers community connections, a sense of purpose, and opportunities to make meaning of suffering – which are all protective factors in maintaining well-being. Yet the connection between spirituality and mental health is often overlooked. On Wednesday, February 17th, from 1-2:30 PM (EST) via Zoom, join MORSL to explore these interconnections with Jasvir Kaur Rababan MBE! We’ll discuss the importance of culture, spirituality, and sacred music in trauma recovery and mental health. Based in London, Jasvir is a renowned Sikh musician, academic, and film maker. She is also the founder of Kaur Voices and #metooSikh. Register here: http://bit.ly/3aExPRM
