Support Services for Students

In light of recent events, we’re reminding you of the services offered both by McGill and by students.

The Counselling Service provides all students who may find themselves experiencing stress and anxiety from a variety of sources in their lives. For brief intervention, supportive counselling, answers to worrying questions, or perhaps ongoing therapy, students can make an appointment or take advantage of the drop-in hours for this Service. The office is located in suite 4200 of the Brown Building. Regular hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with walk-in hours from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Call 514-398-3601 for information.

The Mental Health Service provides a secure, non-judgmental space for students who seek treatment for many conditions which may interfere with psychological well-being. Students experiencing extreme stress, anxiety and depression are more than welcome to visit the office for assistance. The office is located in suite 5500 of the Brown Building. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with walk-in hours for emergencies from  9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Call 514-398-6019 for information.

The Chaplaincy Service also provides students with a welcome environment for seeking guidance or discussion related to areas of concern and stress in students’ lives, whether or not to do with spirituality. The office is located in suite 4400 (Peel Street wing) of the Brown Building. The Chaplaincy office is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 514-398-4104 for information.
