Support Services

  • Basic Setup & Troubleshooting: Our team can assist with the initial setup of SSMU-provided equipment and troubleshoot common issues during your event.
  • Complex Needs: For events requiring complex AV setups, dedicated technicians, or equipment not provided by SSMU, organizers may need to arrange for external AV vendors. Building Services can help coordinate vendor access.
  • Training: Basic user guides are available for operating standard room equipment. Short training sessions can be arranged upon request.
How to Request AV Support

  • During Booking: Specify your AV needs when booking your room through the VEMS Portal or relevant booking form.
  • Event Support Request: Include detailed AV requirements in your Event Support Request.
  • On-Site Assistance: For immediate assistance during your event, contact the Building Porters at 514-617-0081.

Each room has different AV capabilities. When booking, you’ll see a list of available equipment for that specific space.

Can I bring my own AV equipment?

Yes, you may bring your own equipment. Please notify Building Services in advance if you need assistance with setup or if your equipment requires special power or connectivity considerations.

Is there a fee for AV support?

Basic AV support is included with room bookings. Additional fees may apply for specialized equipment or extended technical support.
