About the event
The Chinese government’s crimes of genocide against Uyghurs and other Turkic people in East Turkistan have been acknowledged by the House of Commons. However, despite the Canadian parliament’s explicit recommendations to resettle Uyghur refugees, the Canadian government has yet to take meaningful action to protect Uyghurs overseas that face possible deportation to China. Parliament Motion M-62 will be debated on October 25th, allowing MPs to show support for the motion ahead of the official vote. This is the time to take action! Join us in the University Centre for a day of advocacy!
