Organizing an event in the University Centre
If you are organizing an event in the University Centre, please make sure to read the following SSMU Event Bookings Protocols in order to comply with all health and safety measures in place.
Before the Event
Be sure to submit any accompanying/supporting documentation to the Events Coordinator;
Obtain final approval/confirmation by the SSMU Events department;
Communicate all requirements and event regulations to your attendees;
Bring proof of vaccination and download the VaxiCode Verif app.
Upon arrival / When navigating the UC
Please place your surgical mask on over your mouth and nose before entering the building;
Enter through the main doors of the University Centre;
Upon entry, sanitize your hands at the station;
Follow the directional signage posted throughout the building (eg. traffic flow, entry and exit points);
Go straight to your reserved room;
A mask must be worn at all times in your reserved room, as well as navigating the common areas of the building.
During the event
Event organizers must take attendance and verify vaccine passports;
A distance of (1) metre must be respected as much as possible;
Please respect the capacity indicated on the signage in each space;
Please refrain from moving any furniture and equipment in the rental space;
Personal meals are permitted (please do not share items or utensils);
Please utilize the washroom facilities located on the same floor as your reservation;
If you require assistance with your room booking (eg. furniture, equipment, access, etc.), please contact the Porter at 514-617-0081.
After the event
Submit the Attendance Log form;
A distance of (1) metre must be respected as much as possible;
Remove all personal items, garbage, and debris from the room;
Exit through the main doors of the University Centre;
Report any positive cases or potential exposure to COVID-19 within (10) days after the event.
