The SSMU Equity Committee handles issues related to Equity and Social Justice within the SSMU and at McGill. The Equity Committee reports to SSMU Council and is involved in organizing Social Justice Days, a week long series of events in the Winter Semester addressing Social Justice issues that affect McGill students.
Equity Committee is comprised of undergraduate students representing a wide range of backgrounds and identities. We are currently looking for students who have a specific interest in race and ethnic relations as well as first peoples rights. There are also spots available for students who have a general interest in equity.
