On Thursday, January 26, 2012, the SSMU Legislative Council made a recommendation to the SSMU Board of Directors to suspend all of the activities of the SSMU Judicial Board (the “JBoard”). This recommendation was subsequently approved by the Board of Directors. In order to clarify the complex issues surrounding the recent suspension of the activities of the SSMU Judicial Board, SSMU VP University Affairs Emily Clare prepared an explanatory statement which has been reviewed by the SSMU’s legal counsel.
