The following calendar sets forth the important dates to remember for the municipal electoral campaign of this fall:

Steps Important Dates for the Ballot of November 3rd 2013
Public notice of election No later than September 20, 2013
Last day to inform the electors of their right to vote by mail, if appropriate Before the publication of the public notice of election
Period for submission of nomination papers From September 20th to October 4th 2013
Declaration of elected officials without opposition October 4, 2013
Last day for sole proprietors and sole occupants to provide the municipality with a signed written document requesting to be entered on the list of electors before it being filed September 29, 2013
Last day for co-owners and co-occupants to provide the municipality with a proxy designating a person to be included on the voters’ list before it being filed September 29, 2013
Revision of the list of electors, if appropriate Potential period: From October 12 to 24, 2013
Period for the submission of an application for revision Potential period: From October 12 to 22, 2013
Last day for a voter to provide the returning officer with a request for voting by mail Last day set by the returning officer of your municipality to make a request before the board of revision
Day for mobile polls, if appropriate On October 26, 27, or 28, 2013, at the returning officer’s option
Mandatory day for advance polls October 27, 2013, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Optional day for advance polls October 28, 2013, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Last day to send back the ballot paper for mail voting to the municipality Friday, November 1, 2013, 4:30pm
Election day November 3, 2013, from 10:00am to 8:00pm
Last day to request a counting or the addition of the votes November 7, 2013
Declaration of elected officials November 8, 2013
Last day for a judicial contestation of the election December 8, 2013
