About the event
This course is designed to introduce you to the beginning level of American Sign Language (ASL), and the culture and community of Deaf people. As a result of this course, students will be able to carry on conversations on everyday topics (expressive and receptive skills) with fluency and accuracy at the beginner level. The students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of Deaf culture and the Deaf community, and show awareness of and respect for the Deaf community.
