On September 23, join us in the streets as we respond to Fridays for Future’s global call to action! With the provincial election looming, student associations, workers’ unions and workers in the community sector have voted strikes, with many more preparing to do so. Organizations defending the rights of tenants, women, people on social assistance, unemployed people and more are mobilizing alongside us. Check out the Facebook event here.
To prevent the worst of the climate crisis, we must dramatically change course. Join us in demanding that political parties implement concrete solutions to get rid of fossil fuels and support those most impacted by climate change by investing in the social safety net.
WE DEMAND a complete end to fossil fuels by 2030, massive taxation of wealth, and massive investment in social programs and services. The ecological transition cannot be made on the backs of already vulnerable people. On the contrary, it is our chance to finally correct systemic inequalities and ensure decent living conditions for everyone.
