Student Art Showcase – Mental Health Awareness Week

Student Art Showcase – Mental Health Awareness Week

Détail à propos de l'évènement

Come and Join us on January 19th, for an evening of mental health related art and exploration! Our McGill community is filled with unique and talented students, and we would love to give you the opportunity to showcase your work, and share your story with us through poetry, photo, paint, sketch, or sculpture! We encourage you to submit original works in any medium that speaks to you most.

All of the material that we receive will be put on display in the Shatner Building South Side Cafeteria. We encourage you to be present, and connect with your peers through a celebration of the creative arts ♥

Works can be submitted through the SSMU Offices, or through e-mail at mentalhealthstudentart@gmail.com.

Each piece should be submitted with a short blurb (no longer than 250-400 words) which describes your artwork, and answers the question: « What does mental health mean to you? »

**This event is a safe space, and we will not tolerate harassment of any kind. Please be respectful of your peers, and allow everyone to enjoy the beautiful, and POWERFUL stories that your community is brave enough to share. Vulnerability is not a weakness, and no one should be made to feel that it is.**
